Register to sing original cantata at Meymandi Concert Hall, Sunday, April 6 at 7pm

You are invited to sing my best selling cantata, Once Upon a Tree with orchestra. So far, we have over 200 singers, but we have room for about 50 more. Cost is $35 per singer, which includes the music for the cantata plus “Hallelujah Chorus” and one more TBA. You may pick up your music at the first rehearsal. (Bring your “Hallelujah”) Schedule, cantata and dress guidelines are below.

Schedule for the three rehearsals and day of concert:

Saturday, Feb. 1, 9-11:45am at Hayes Barton Baptist in Raleigh

Saturday, March 15, 9-11:45am at Zebulon Baptist Church

Thursday, March 27, 11, 7-9pm at Grace Lutheran in Raleigh

If you have to miss a rehearsal, an alternate is: Wednesday, March 19 7-8:30pm at Hayes Barton Baptist

Day of Concert, Sunday, April 6:

Meet at Meymandi             2:45pm

Dress Rehearsal with Orchestra   3:30-5:30pm

Concert                                     7-8:30pm

Concert dress: MEN: Black tuxedo/suit with white tuxedo shirt or dress shirt, black bow tie (vest or cummerbund optional). Polished black dress shoes - no gym shoes - with black socks.

 WOMEN: Long, all-black concert attire with a moderate neckline. All sleeve lengths are acceptable, but any thin-cut straps should be covered with a shawl or wrap, jacket or dressy cardigan. Skirt or dress should be floor, ankle, or ballerina/tea length. Side or front slits are inappropriate; however, back slits are permitted. Any pants should be dressy evening wear. Black dress shoes which are comfortable to stand in for a long period of time.

ACCESSORIES: Please accessorize conservatively and formally. Use soundless jewelry and scentless body products, please.
